You Ask We Answer!

Where do the toy makers source the wood used to make their toys?

Most of our toy makers use rubberwood sourced from exhausted plantations that are then replanted. Some such as Ever Earth are made from sustainable, FSC® (C106741) certified wood. Ever Earth is committed to preserving our forests, and its activities include initiating the “Plant-a-tree” campaign. Others like Hape are highly dependent on the use of natural materials such as rubberwood but have also created a full line of bamboo toys taking advantage of the special properties of this highly renewable material. Take a look at some of their websites to see what these ethical companies are doing.
